Programs

CRASH offers seminars in training for disaster volunteers as well as serving as a relief coordination contact.

Disaster Response Chaplaincy

FUND: Pastors Fund

This ministry will train disaster response chaplains to strategically serve disaster areas and support disaster response initiatives as spiritual care givers to survivors of natural disaster, community violence, personal injury, and crime. The basic ministry includes the ministry of presence, advancing physical and emotional/spiritual safety, appropriate help such as assessment and triage, and eventual follow up of survivors.

It will also proactively advance CRASH's ministry in areas where an earthquake could happen by strategically supporting initiatives to equip leaders and lay people to be first responders. CRASH will be helping support this initiative by initially providing document translation services.

  • To equip local churches to do spiritual care and evangelism using these tools and skills.

This will help with encouragement, equipping, evangelism, and empowerment for this area. It will also help to improve outreach to the temporary housing units for the Sendai area churches.
