Tono Base Partnership Program

FUND: Community Fund

Since the early days of the Tohoku campaign, Tono Base has been one of CRASH Japan's key bases for receiving volunteers and for ministry to Otsuchi and Kamaishi, two of the northern-most cities affected by the tsunami. They have been engaged specifically in doing Mobile Cafés, featuring the CCC Project, at temporary housing locations in those two cities.

As CRASH Japan has shifted to the Partnership Phase, the goal is that partner organizations take on the ministry that CRASH Japan has started. From the end of August, Tono Base will change its function, becoming an independent partner of CRASH Japan, continuing to do the great ministry it has started. During the next two months, funding is needed to continue to support and sustain the base's operations as it shifts to this new partner role.

Partners

TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission) members Jim and Eileen Nielsen have been running Tono Base since June 2011 and will continue ministry to Otsuchi and Kamaishi well beyond CRASH's Tohoku campaign.
